A Message from the Executive Director

2009 marked the 10 year anniversary of Outdoor Outreach. Ten years ago I founded Outdoor Outreach with the vision and conviction that giving underserved youth the opportunity to develop passion and joy in the outdoors would be transformative. In the last ten years we have served over 5,000 at-risk and underprivileged youth through our programs. Over the years our programming has evolved from short trips into the local mountains and beaches to more comprehensive multi-year curricula designed to provide the youth we serve with the support, relationships, and opportunities they need to become successful adults.

Our work has been made possible by a community of thousands of people that have emerged to rally around the mission and vision of Outdoor Outreach. An amazing group of volunteers, donors, staff members and supporters have chosen to show up in service of the youth in our community. They've chosen to share their passion, joy and energy to make a difference in the lives of the kids we serve.

I write this in deep gratitude to all of the members of the Outdoor Outreach community and would like to personally invite you to join us in our efforts to transform the lives of at-risk and underprivileged youth through comprehensive outdoor programming.
