The Possibility Project
At Outdoor Outreach one of our values is POSSIBILITY. When you volunteer on a trip, donate funds and gear, or share our mission with a friend, you are making it possible for San Diego’s at-risk and underprivileged youth to have powerful outdoor experiences.
Last year, OO’s community personally adopted this value as they saw other possibilities to support Outdoor Outreach. Through weekend bootcamps, yoga classes, BBQ’s, and parties, our volunteer fundraisers donated $8,454 in 2010! This year, we need your help to reach our goal of $10,000.

Fundraising Tips
Jump start your fundraising efforts by using these simple tips and remember creating an opportunity to give is truly a gift!
Personalize your Page: Using your Stay Classy fundraising page you can personalize your message, upload a picture or use one we have provided for you.
Share a Skill: If you have a special skill, host a workshop and charge people to attend (asking them to donate to your page to gain entrance to your event). This can include a baking night, knitting party, guided local hike, wine or beer tasting, yoga workshop, etc.
Office Outreach: Bake cookies and put them in the communal kitchen at work and ask for donations in exchange. Include in your company newsletter or post a link to your fundraising page at the bottom of all your emails. Double your efforts by asking your organization for a matching donation!
Phone a Friend: Make some phone calls. Call everybody in your cell phone or address book and ask for a $10 donation. One phone call can go a long way! This is also a great way to reconnect with old friends and co-workers.
Email Ask: Create a fundraising email signature. Let your friends, family and co-workers know what you are up to by ending your emails with a fundraising tag line. “Want to join me in helping San Diego’s at-risk and underprivileged youth? CLICK HERE (put the link to your fundraising page)”
