Working closely with faculty and staff, we form and facilitate Adventure Clubs in local schools. Each club typically has 20-30 youth members who are referred by teachers, administrators, and counselors. Students meet weekly after school and participate in monthly outdoor trips.
At weekly meetings, AC members participate in enrichment activities such as yoga, art, and college/community visits, as well as community service and environmental stewardship projects.
Once a month, students participate in various full-day and overnight experiences in the outdoors ranging from camping in Joshua Tree National Park, mountain biking at Penasquitos Canyon, and surfing at Calafia state beach in San Clemente.
Through their membership, students develop strong bonds with peers that encourage commitment to the club, and dedication to creating a fun, safe environment for all students. Club members receive consistent support, mentoring, and structure from adult leaders and volunteers, enriching students’ club experience while promoting a healthy sense of self and accomplishment.
