Outdoor Outreach currently has two roles for our volunteers: Field Volunteer and Skilled Photographer Volunteer. We ask our Field Volunteers for a commitment of 5 program outings per year.
AVAILABLE VOLUNTEER ROLES
Field Volunteer
We ask Field Volunteers to commit to five programs or more per year.
Field Volunteers are individuals who are experienced in the types of programs they volunteer on. Volunteers should have experience in the activities they support and be able to assist staff in coaching students. You may volunteer for any program that matches your skills and experience.
Skilled Photographer Volunteer
Outdoor Outreach is seeking individuals who are skilled in photography to capture dynamic, high-quality images while accompanying our instructors on outdoor programs and special events. This opportunity is ideal for professionals and skilled hobbyists passionate about youth development, nature, and storytelling through visuals.
VOLUNTEER PROCESS
To become an approved volunteer with Outdoor Outreach, you must first complete the simple 4-step application process outlined below.
1. EXPLORE VOLUNTEER ROLES
If you’re interested in becoming an approved volunteer with Outdoor Outreach, please start by viewing the available volunteer opportunities above.
2. COMPLETE AN APPLICATION
Should your skills meet our current volunteer needs, you can complete an application (linked above). Following the completion of your application, you’ll be asked to watch our volunteer orientation video and complete a LiveScan background check.
3. CONNECT WITH US
Once you complete your application, a member of our team will contact you within 3-5 business days.
4. GET OUT THERE!
Once you’ve completed the steps above and been cleared to volunteer, you’re ready to join a program! Our Volunteer Coordinator will share a newsletter with upcoming opportunities and schedule you for outings based on your availability.
